Fighting by Cat Phoenix

Rating: 3/5 stars

Summary: Alex is a 21-year old former thief who finds herself being recruited for a rag-tag gang of teens who use their criminal skills for good. They are led by the parental figure, Brooks, who initially selected Alex to join them. After being an orphan for the past ten years, she discovers a family in the team, eventually even with Ethan who she can’t stand at first.

My thoughts: So I was pretty torn with this rating/review. For one, I like most of the romance storyline, and some of the action. However, a lot of the plot felt contrived, and very unrealistic. I actually could have gotten over those two points, but the book went on way longer than it should have, so that solidified the 3 star rating.

Overall, it wasn’t bad, just unmemorable.
